Settees like this are a true gem, and this Emerald velvet Jacobean piece does not disappoint!
Circa 1650-1700, this gorgeous settee made its way to the States from either Germany or Italy and has had its home in the 68-year-old Upper Room Christian Art Museum in Nashville, Tennessee as part of a 2,000 piece museum collection.
The wood has a soft time worn feel with beautiful craftsmanship details. The velvet is in very good condition, especially given its age. The seat has springs and feels quite comfortable to sit on. The real magic happens when the lighting hits this glorious piece and it can shine!
