Halloween parties are the best: Kids get candy, grown-ups get cocktails — and people of all ages get dressed up in creative costumes. This spooky holiday invites a plethora of images with which to infuse a party, from cat-shaped cakes to carved pumpkins to creepy skeletons. Memorable Halloween parties are easy to create with the help of seasonal decorations found at GasLamp.

This season GasLamp’s antique dealers have brought in merchandise that is fall friendly, whether    one is a fan of witches and goblins or would rather skip the ghouls in favor of seasonal owls and pumpkins. There is something for every taste, including this geometric black cat ($35; B-320). After all, what animal is better suited for Halloween than a mysterious cat? This ceramic cat sculpture by Vanguard Accents is an amazing mid-century modern find with modernist angles and a shiny glaze.

Whether you’re attending a Halloween party or hosting one, get into the spirit of the holiday by carrying one of these vintage evening bags found at Booth B-306. The black beaded evening bag with a beaded clasp is by Magda Makkay and would make a flapper costume sing ($46). Makkay was a Hungarian woman who learned the handbag craft in Eastern Europe before fleeing revolution-torn Hungary and arriving in New York City in 1956. The vintage orange and iridescent beaded bag features Lucite trim and is spot on for Halloween ($42).

The Halloween assortment at GasLamp is always a hodgepodge of everything from the rare to the handmade to the laughably whimsical. This black glass pumpkin would be well-suited to a sophisticated style of Halloween décor, particularly if you are using it to decorate for a dinner party for adults ($11.90; B-210). On a candlelit table, it would catch the light beautifully.

Black and orange, the traditional Halloween colors, look distinctive and crisp together and can be found in a mélange of GasLamp items, from scary to sophisticated. That’s why we love this pairing from Booth B-264. The lidded basket, made in Morocco, features a graphic pattern in black and tan that will blend in subtly with sophisticated Halloween decorations ($39; B-264). It would look especially stylish if placed alongside this vintage wrapped bottle that features a pattern of orange, yellow, green and black ($25; B-264).

As your Halloween guests head up your pathway, you can make sure a boo-tiful array of décor awaits them with GasLamp’s help. This wreath covered in tiny skeletons would dress up a door nicely ($12 at B-330). The grapevine wreath is wound up in black lace embossed with sparkly orange spiderwebs.

You can get frightfully creative for Halloween this year with the bounty of goblin-friendly goodies at GasLamp. They’re perfect for haunting any Halloween hootenanny.
